Our team has been designed to offer a diverse background of experiences across macroeconomics, geopolitics, strategic asset allocation, risk management, portfolio construction and implementation. Our common passion for sustainable investing helps fund managers in their dialogue with investors across northern Europe and supports them to develop and execute a successful fundraising strategy. We have doubled our fundraising team in 2023 and the expansion follows the successful introduction of the business since 2019, which comes after an increase in demand for the firm’s fundraising services. Our fundraising is growing at 60% per year and we will continue to grow our fundraising team and senior adviser team with new and talented hires over the coming two years.
Christian Andersson, Managing Partner
Christian Andersson formed Worthwhile Capital Partners in 2019, and has spent most of his career in senior roles servicing Nordic institutional investors at global investment banks. Christian was the Managing Director for the Nordic Pension & Insurance Solutions Group at Goldman Sachs, and he was the Head of Nordic sales across fixed income, credit, equities, derivatives and bank and pension solutions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. During his time in London, where he lived for 17 years, his team managed the banks’ advisory to state pension fund, occupational pension funds and life insurers in the Nordic region and provided advice to senior decision makers on strategic asset allocation, asset and liability modelling and regulatory (Solvency II) portfolio optimization.
Christian also has experience from the Australian asset management company Fidante Partners, where he was responsible for the firm’s business development in the Nordic region and supported investors commitments to water infrastructure and renewable energy infrastructure funds. Prior to this, he also has a background with SEB and the Riksbank in Stockholm, where he began his career in 1990.

MIKAEL ANGBERG, PARTNER
Mikael joined Worthwhile Capital Partners from AP Fund 1– the First National National Pension Fund in Sweden – where he during nearly a decade was the CIO responsible for investment strategy, asset allocation and risk management of the fund’s USD 42bn investments across fixed income, equities, real estate, private equity and infrastructure portfolios. Mikael reported directly to the CEO and the Board. He has a strong quantitative background and prior to his role at AP1, he was a Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development for the Nordics at Pimco.
Before this he was head of Nordic equity derivatives sales at BNP Paribas, and head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s institutional sales team in the Nordics, based in London. Mikael has also held positions with AXA Asset Management and with CERN in Switzerland.

CHRISTIAN BROBERG, PARTNER
Christian Broberg is a partner at Worthwhile Capital Partners and has previously spent most of his financial career in London, where he held several senior positions within the alternative investment funds sector. Christian has a vast experience in senior Investor Relations management with leading private equity, infrastructure fund managers and investment banks.
Before joining, Christian was head of Sales for Private Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley in London, responsible for high net worth clients and family offices across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has over 20 years of fundraising experience for Private Equity and Infrastructure funds, and was previously responsible for the covering of institutional investor relations as a Managing Director for EQT Partners and a Principal at Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R).

CARINA EKLÖF, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Carina Eklöf joined Worthwhile Capital Partners in the second half of 2023. She joined the team from Spiltan Fonder AB, where she was Head of Operations, and managed over SEK 80bn in AUM across nine different funds. Throughout her career, she has gathered leadership experience in strategic planning and project implementation.
Before joining Spiltan, she spent over 15 years at Brummer & Partners AB, where she had oversight of over USD 3bn in AUM. Her responsibilities spanned diverse functions ranging from securities lending and liquidity management to cultivating relationships with investment banks globally. Prior to Nektar, she was at Ericsson Treasury. As Chief Operating Officer, Carina has the vital role of steering our operational strategies.

MARTIN SONESSON, Partner
Martin Sonesson joined Worthwhile Capital Partners from UBS Europe in Luxembourg, where he was an Associate Director and client investment specialist for European investors. Martin has a strong background in macroeconomics and portfolio construction and marketing of a diverse set of investment funds to private and institutional investors.
Before joining UBS Europe, Martin was an equity and derivatives trader at Nordea Bank in Luxembourg. He has also several years of experience in advising ultra-high net worth investors for Nordea Bank.

NICLAS SUNDSTRÖM, Partner
Niclas Sundström is a Partner responsible for advising our institutional investors on geopolitics, geoeconomics, investment-impacting statecraft developments, macroeconomics and other key policy areas. Advisory themes include EU, G7, G20, and BRICS, with regards to clean energy security, secure supply chains, critical tech policy, including the emerging new defence/dual use investment framework, AI and cybersecurity, as well as the policy tailwinds and geoeconomic dynamics behind natural climate solutions strategies. Niclas is also currently a member of the US-EU Trade and Technology Council Working Group on Secure Supply Chains, advises the Ukrainian government on mobilising private capital into the post-war clean energy reconstruction, and advises Nato on clean energy infrastructure security and supply chain security. In addition, over the last few years he has led a project focusing on Chinese involvement in critical infrastructure in Europe.
Over the last 30+ years, Niclas has held positions at Citibank, Citigroup, Salomon Smith Barney, and advised senior management at Goldman Sachs and BP for nearly two decades. In addition, he has been a member of the Advisory Board of Finisterre Capital, a long-term advisor of Brummer & Partners, worked for the G7 group of industrialised countries on financial and policy intelligence inside Russia, and advised West European, East European, Ukrainian, Scandinavian, and Russian governments. Niclas has been based extensively in different locations in Russia, Ukraine, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, and the UK. He has also spent an increasing share of his time working with China-related issues alongside an intensifying and long-term West-Russia confrontation and deepening West-China tensions, having been involved in Russia-Chinese issues already in the 1990s, visiting China to discuss the then Russian economic reform process with Chinese authorities. He has also previously been directly involved with post-war and post-authoritarian economic and financial reconstruction in the Balkans, and the former Soviet Union at the highest level.
JAMES CAMERON, SENIOR ADVISER – ENVIRONMENTAL LAW AND CLIMATE POLICY
James Cameron joined Worthwhile Capital Partners in 2024. He is a an award-winning authority in the global climate change movement with over 30 years of experience as a qualified Barrister. He holds influential positions on boards and advisory committees across financial, legal, academic, and governmental organizations. His roles span a diverse range of respected entities, including Howden Group, Ignite, Korn Ferry, Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (ORIT), Orbital Energy, Pollination Group, Verv, and he notably served as Chairman of the Overseas Development Institute from 2012 to 2020.As the co-founder and, until 2015, Chairman of Climate Change Capital (CCC), James was instrumental in developing the firm into a premier investment bank, boasting 150 employees and managing US$1.6 billion. Prior to CCC, he was a counsel at Baker & McKenzie, pioneering their Climate Change and Clean Energy Practice. James also co-founded both the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development (FIELD) and the Centre for International Environmental Law (CIEL), underlining his commitment to environmental law and policy.
James's legal career is distinguished by his focus on climate-related issues, including his advisory role in negotiating the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol for the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS). His contributions as a Friend of COP26 and as an advisor to the Presidencies of the COP20, COP22, COP23, and COP28 climate negotiations have been vital in the advancement of global climate agendas. Furthermore, James holds academic appointments at illustrious institutions including Yale, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, the Grantham Institute, and the Colorado School of Mines, where his expertise continues to inspire and shape the next generation of leaders and policymakers.
BENGT HELLSTRÖM, SENIOR ADVISER - FUND MANAGER DUE DILIGENCE
Bengt Hellström joined Worthwhile Capital Partners in the beginning of 2022. With his long and impressive track record in alternative investing, together with the extensive network that he has built over the past decades, he will advise on our growing business ambitions for sustainable investing. In particular, Mr Hellström will support the Firm in Manager Selection, Fund Due Diligence and Long-Term Strategy Formation.
Mr. Hellström has a long and distinguished career in alternative investing and fund manager selection. He spent the last 20 years at AP3 – Third Swedish National Pension Fund – where he was Head of Alternative Investments. Before that, Hellström was a Partner and Investment Manager at EQT Partners and a Vice President for Corporate Finance at Investor AB.
